Well, well, well. Looks like New York is finally upping its game to combat the cyber baddies targeting hospitals. Gotta love the "nation-leading" cybersecurity regulations. (Side note: is there a nation-trailing one we should know about?) Anyway, it’s about time hospitals got their own rules for the cyber rodeo, complete with shiny new IT systems and a designated cyber sheriff in the form of a Chief Information Security Officer (CISO). The bad news? Hospitals have to foot the bill for the upgrade. The good news? There’s millions of dollars in funding available.
